Nietzsche's Map of the Body (via Zarathustra)
"The Creative Self created respect & disrespect for itself, it created pleasure & pain for itself"- Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche
I think I just mapped out Nietzsche’s Map of the Body in a philosophical sense via his character of Zarathustra. Wonder if it’s ever been done before… I also saw a lot of Schopenhauer’s influence & also comparison’s w/ Jung’s model of Individuation!
The denial of Self wanting to go under is where the despair of the despisers of the Body begins.
In Jungian notions, the denial of going under of the Self denotes that the Self is hesitant towards the process of Individuation i.e., via the denial of investigating the Shadow Self. Thus, halting the Jungian Individuation process & Nietzschian Journey towards becoming the Overman, the Superhuman. I suppose Jung must have commented on the same…
In a nutshell, Nietzsche’s Model of the Body & its Psyche via Zarathustra is that:
The Body is the great reason which does “I”- which is the Self, the Ruler of the Ego which resides under the Body & hence, is the Body in-itself.
The Spirit is the tool of the Body i.e., a ‘Plaything’ of the greater reason, which is the Body, which when at work induces the Senses and therefore, the Spirit in-itself.
The Ego is the Beholder of Pride, and as a result, is laughed at by the Self which is the Ruler of the Ego- the Powerful Commander & an Unknown Wise-Man. The Ego looks for ‘Purpose’ via the Self which has more Reason than Wisdom itself.
The Self listens & seeks the Ego’s ‘purpose’ with the Body’s Multiplicity with Senses deployed at work by the Spirit.
