The Old Plum (Kanu Sansetsu)

The Spirit demands freedom,

freedom from what, the Body demands.

Freedom from the lust of guilt,

guilt beseeched upon by Horae

The Horae which casts muddling spells of beauty

On the florets of Spring,

Summer berries and,

the metamorphosis of leaves

What is this lust of guilt,

the Psyche demands.

To which the body speaks-

a desire for release

the release of the guilt,

by the hands of the Spirit-

Of a cataclysmic essence,

an essence prone to the human condition.

What is this ruinous essence you speak of,

the Spirit demands.

To which the Psyche speaks-

an urge,

an urge of plaguing the Gaia-

for gains, one shall be conscious of

gains for the selfish-

selfishness prone to the Shadow,

the Shadow that is sublime.

What is this subliminal symptom you speak of,

the Body demands.

To which the Spirit speaks.

a prodromal bane,

a symptomatic assault of Gaia.

so that- the Psyche can soothe its Spirit,

cleansed of a thirst,

thirst for a sweeping,

billeting of Mankind.
